The Zanzibar Government provides free medical facilities to its people at the Mnazi Mmoja hospital.

There are several private clinics and pharmacies all around town that provide basic health care facilities, at a moderate fee. A few other clinics are run by foreign doctors who provide better facilities at a higher cost.
